Operation Local Impact
Home
is where the heart is
Where we live, play and shop. We pay Sales Tax on almost everything we buy. The Sales Tax goes to the State Treasurer. The State sends most of the money back to the County where the Sales tax was collected. That money gets used by the County to pay for Services to the Residents.
Police Protection
The more Money the County gets from the Sales Tax Fund the more Police presence we get. There will be more Officers and quicker response time.
Fire Department
The County Fire Departments depend on State and County Funds to operate. The more funds they have the better equipment they can purchase and their response times are faster.
Maintain Roads and Street Lights
The City and County Roads have to be maintained due to increasing traffic. The street lights we depend on so much for safety and security are all funded by the Tax Dollars we generate when we buy taxable goods in our home county.
Garbage Collection and disposal
Garbage collection and proper disposal are also funded by the cities and the County we live in.
Animal Services and Charities
Animal Shelters and Animal medical services and no kill shelters are also funded by our own tax Dollars that we get back from the State.
All these dollars come from the Sales tax we pay on goods and services purchased in our Home County. County Count is a marketing and mind awareness campaign to remind residents to buy as much as possible specially High Priced items in your Home County.
Our local partners, the Merchants,Banks and credit unions have special incentives to buyers to help promote this cause. The Banks and Credit Unions have special County Count Debit and Credit Cards that offer more benefits to local residents who apply for and get these cards.
